Welcome to another issue of the Team Spotlight series at LayerX 🚀
In this series, we delve into the stories, experiences, and perspectives of the incredible people that make LayerX. Today, we get to chat with Anderson Lando, Frontend Developer at LayerX, and the person responsible for bringing our product interfaces to life!
I have a peculiar approach to my mornings. I do sprints that take 2hr, and the day usually starts right where I left the day before, so obviously the VSCode and Browser are the first things I open in the morning. After the first sprint, I will have breakfast while reading some world news.
Other tasks come after, such as checking Pull Requests to keep me updated on what needs to be shipped and what needs further alignment or suggestions, and reading emails. During the lunch period, I will have the longest break which includes Youtube and some newsletters.
If there is no fire going on, I will probably go for a walk on the beach to wind up. After I return, I will do the last sprint of the day which will consist of 1-1.5h.
Resuming it in three words: transparency, freedom, and no micro-management.
Because I am a result-oriented person, the DRI (Directly Responsible Individuals) approach resonates perfectly with me. Besides, the environment nurtures trust and freedom which optimally increases confidence to deliver the solutions, feedback, and iteration through the projects.
Web3 ecosystem is still fairly new and growing exponentially and I think that’s due to people not wanting to repeat the 2000s and miss the Dotcom bubble. So, being able to see how web3 disrupts the conventional way of doing things while increasing security and transparency is the dream of every developer.
That would be TAIKAI because bridging web2 and web3 is what lured me into LayerX and to build a platform that requires trust and transparency.
Open Coinmarket multiple times during the day.
I learn a lot from discussions, newsletters, books, and especially put it into practice. The latter is the best way to learn and to form personal opinions.
Web3 has a great opportunity in the financial markets and environments that require trust and transparency (like voting). When it comes to the former, I am anxious to see better fees as I believe that’s one of the things that impacts the most in its adoption.
Not related uniquely to the web3 but in the field in general, is how the community is built upon “knowledge sharing” and how the entry barrier is low compared to other industries.
Stay tuned for the next episode of our Team Spotlight series, where we'll introduce you to another remarkable member of the LayerX family.
